Welcome to /r/Oasis, the sub for all things Oasis (including Liam, Noel, Beady Eye and the High Flying Birds). Rules & Guidelines. Only found out this existed today, a Prodigy redo of 'Falling Down' released as a B side in 2009. Not sure if there's any prodigy fans in this sub but I quite like! (RIP Keith) (open.

Furthering Oasis’ reputation as the people’s band, Noel quietly reminds his listeners that amidst all that goes on in life, we simply have no choice but to be ourselves. 13. Cloudburst – B-side to Live Forever (1994) Not typically known for complex lead guitar parts, Noel sports several standout riffs on this particularly edgy rocker, sung perfectly by brother Liam. Oasis had the ability to take a subject such as the weather and turn it into a hopefully optimistic statement. 6. D’Yer Wanna Be a Spaceman? – B-side to Shakermaker (1994) Perhaps the quintessential representative of a young Noel Gallagher that signals the great work that was to come, this early track stands on its own as a fine song. Telling the tale of two childhood friends who have seen their dreams slip by, Noel reminds us of the power of imagination and friendship.

This week sees the reissue of Oasis' all-conquering sophomore album, so we give you the rundown on what you can expect from the reissue and pick out 10 of their best b-sides. A b-side to 1997 single 'Stand By Me', taken from the band’s third album Be Here Now, it perhaps should have been a contender for an album track at least, but sadly it was relegated to b-side status. It’s difficult to see why this was seen as less appropriate for the album than something like ‘All Around The World’, but there we are. 9. The Masterplan

Take Me Away', 1994 ('Supersonic') Oasis were famed for their B-sides in the early days, which would regularly see them strip things back and delve into a softer side where Noel would often take lead vocals. So sat behind the swagger of ‘Supersonic’ was this fragile, romantic offering.

The album opens on the rip-roaring rocker ‘Acquiesce’ which sees the Gallagher brothers dueting – Liam’s ragged, snarled vocals on the verses, Noel’s angelic soar on the chorus – a technique they sadly only used scarcely. The song is an utter classic; Noel’s life affirming high vocals and comradely lyrics on the chorus relieving some of the gritty anguish from the Liam-led, swaggering guitar-backed verses.
