Director's Cut is the ninth studio album by English singer and songwriter Kate Bush that she released in May 2011. It contains no new material: it is only made up of songs from her earlier albums The Sensual World and The Red Shoes which have been remixed and restructured, three of which were re-recorded completely. It was Bush's first album release since 2005's Aerial and the first on her own record label, Fish People.

The Kick Inside is the debut studio album by English singer-songwriter and musician Kate Bush. It was released on 17 February 1978 and contains her UK number one hit, "Wuthering Heights". The album peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart and has been certified Platinum by the British Phonographic Industry

Harari was a Kate Bush fan from the first time he heard her first single, Wuthering Heights, on the radio in 1978. She was a pioneer, especially in Britain where no solo female artist had had a number one-selling album until she came along. And you had the sense that, despite her wistful manner, she had balls of steel. Kate Bush: 10 of the best. The photographer first met her in 1982 in Milan, when she was promoting her album The Dreaming. In the book he describes his first impressions: Beautiful golden eyes, pouty lips, a big mane of hennaed hair

Kate Bush during the shooting of the video for And Dream of Sheep, a song that is part of her suite The Ninth Wave. And at least part of the time, she said in a cheery telephone interview earlier this month from her home in England, she was thinking, My God, what am I doing? She was filming that drenched performance for Before the Dawn, a string of 22 concerts in London at the 3,600-seat Eventim Apollo (the former Hammersmith Apollo) in 2014. The album also includes a rehearsal performance of a song Ms. Bush reluctantly cut from the show, Never Be Mine. She said, with a laugh: People had to go home from the concert. We couldn’t keep them there all night.

Bush’s most recent album, Director’s Cut (Fish People/EMI), offers reinterpretations of 11 of her previously released songs, with new vocal performances and instrumentation. Flower of The Mountain (originally released under the title The Sensual World ) is typical of Bush’s expansive musicality. A time-traveling ode to sensual surrender, the song draws on Arabic melodies to create a primal, ancient atmosphere. I also try to be kind and try to have a good time. Today, Kate Bush sat down with BBC 6 Music’s Matt Everitt for her first interview in five years. You can listen to her hour-long interview here. The interview was conducted in advance of Before the Dawn, Bush’s upcoming triple-album of live recordings from her 2014 residency at the Hammersmith Apollo-her first full live performances in 35 years. In addition to discussing her anxiety about returning to the stage, Bush also went deeper into her inspiration for the shows, her selection of material in the setlist, and the process of putting the production together.

In a rare interview, Kate Bush speaks to BBC Radio 4's Front Row about how she is writing songs for a new album, but does not know when they will be released. Later this month Bush releases Director's Cut - a collection of reworked songs from her albums The Sensual World and The Red Shoes. Her last album, Aerial, came out in late 2005 and was itself her first new release for 12 years.
