Get Used to It is a funk album by the Brand New Heavies released 27 June 2006 via Starbucks and more traditional music retail outlets. Get Used to It is the first album with lead singer N'Dea Davenport since she departed the band after the release of their 1994 album Brother Sister for a solo career. Following the band's reunion with Davenport. They also reunited with their former record label Delicious Vinyl. The album was recorded in New York and London.

There are the usual horns and "music turns me on" type lyrics plus Davenport's just perfect voice, but Get Used to It resists wandering into the musical theatrics this skillful group could be accused of overindulging in the past. While the glorious "Music" flirts with electronic dance music and the cool "Don't Know Why (I Love You)" lays some unneeded strings onto its soulful groove, the majority of the album is stripped-down and wonderfully tight . Get Used to It is a funk album by the Brand New Heavies released 27 June 2006 via Starbucks and more traditional music retail outlets. Again, though, this song did not appear on the US version of the album, the album also contained the hit Sometimes. The remix of Sometimes included the rap vocals of Q-Tip, for We Wont Stop album, The Brand New Heavies relied on singer/songwriter Sy Smith for the bulk of the female vocals. Original member Jan Kincaid takes the lead on three of the tracks, and Los Angeles-based poet Gina Loring makes several appearances on the album. In April 2006, the Brand New Heavies reunited with NDea Davenport, a new album, Get Used to It was released on 27 June 2006 via Starbucks and more traditional music retail outlets. The album was recorded in New York and London, and the lead single I Dont Know Why was issued in early May.
As The Brand New Heavies they gained a cult following in the London club scene and soon signed to Cooltempo as acid jazz replaced rare groove in clubs. The band issued a debut recording for Eddie Piller's Acid Jazz label in 1990 with Jay Ella Ruth as lead singer. A single, "Got to Give", came out on Cooltempo before the Brand New Heavies signed to Acid Jazz Records and released Brand New Heavies to critical acclaim.
