Charles Wilbert "Bill" Snow (April 6, 1884 – September 28, 1977) was an American poet, educator and politician. He served as the 75th Governor of Connecticut. He generally went by the name Wilbert or Bill Snow, or formally as C. Wilbert Snow. Snow was born on Whitehead Island, Maine. He grew up in Whitehead Island and in neighboring Spruce Head Village. At the age of 14, Snow left school to become a lobster fisherman; he returned to school three years later after moving to Thomaston, Maine.

The American poet, teacher and politician Charles Wilbert Snow is more often known as Bill Snow, or sometimes Wilbert Snow, while some formal references to him quote the name C. Born in the late 19th century this man certainly lived a full life, into his early nineties, and he held the post of 75th Governor of Connecticut, albeit for barely two weeks. He was a great advocate of education in the state and served on Boards of Education for over thirty years, filling roles as educational commissioner and Chairman of the Board at various times

Charles Wilbert "Bill" Snow (April 6, 1884 – September 28, 1977) was an American poet, educator and politician. After graduating, he began teaching in a one-room elementary school while studying at Bowdoin College. American poet and educator Charles Wilbert Snow was born on April 6, 1884, on White Head Island, St. George, Maine. Snow grew up on the Maine seacoast and spent a good portion of his adult life there as well. His experiences related to the Maine seacoast became the focus of much of his poetry. Wilbert Snow was educated at Bowdoin College, receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1907, and at Columbia University, receiving his Master of Arts degree in 1910. During World War I Snow served as an artillery captain in the U. S. Army.
