Paul McCartney got the much-needed chance to blow off some steam - and Steve Miller got a killer rhythm section - when the two spontaneously collaborated on Miller's 'My Dark Hour' single in May of 1969. As McCartney explains the story, the rest of the Beatles had left him alone in the studio following a nasty argument. Steve Miller happened to be around: ‘Hi, how you doing? Is the studio free?’

The Love We Make, a film directed by Albert Maysles and Bradley Kaplan, follows Paul McCartney as he journeys through the streets of New York City in the aftermath of the World Trade Centre’s destruction
