Born 1946 in Colorado Springs, son of pianist Johana Harris and composer Roy Harris, and brother of Danny Harris (3). After playing in two bands in the late 1960s he released a solo album in 1973, and worked with Barry Manilow, but eventually retired from the music scene to set up a children’s film festival.

Light years removed from the expansive psychedelia of his work with the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band, Shaun Harris ' lone solo LP remains a compelling curio of the singer/songwriter boom of the early '70s - while its lush country-pop sensibility sits squarely in the mainstream, the record's melodies and arrangements are atypically complex and its lyrics are profoundly introspective

What a fantastic solo album from one of the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band main writers, Shaun Harris. Backed up by the cream of US session musicians and orchestral arrangements by Shaun Harris' father, the renowned symphonic composer Bob Harris, Shaun delivers some of his best, most personal songs. An overlooked classic in my opinion.
