I was not sure how I was going to react to this cd since I knew he was with tommy Dorsey, never knew he was with harry james. after listening to this I was not at all disappointed. frank and harry did well together. to bad they did not stay with each other longer. still you will not be disappointed by this cd. Frank Sinatra made his first studio recordings on July 13, 1939 with a band led by the man who gave him his first real break in show business - trumpeter Harry James. Columbia/Legacy's 1995 release of the complete 1939 recordings of the Harry James Orchestra featuring Sinatra includes four alternate takes and seven live performances, recorded during the summer of 1939 at the Roseland and Marine Ballrooms in New York and Atlantic City (tracks 15-21). Tracks 15-18 predate Sinatra 's studio recording debut by several days

The Complete Recordings Nineteen Thirty-Nine is a compilation album of Frank Sinatra's work with Harry James in his earliest days of his career.

Harry James and his Orchestra, featuring Frank Sinatra, by Columbia Records. There are several notable songs in Frank Sinatra and Harry James Complete Recordings. Melancholy Mood: Despite the annoying music at the beginning, very well performed by Frank Sinatra. All or Nothing At All: Wonderful music and lyrics. His emphasis on some words are weird, but considering that this is one of Sinatra’s first records, it is quite acceptable. Ciribiribin: One of the best songs in the album for me, and one of the undiscovered songs of Sinatra.
