The sequel to Lost In Space comes to us in a beautiful booklet in which the texts of Aimee are interspersed with special illustrations by artist Seth. The album contains eleven familiar sounding songs. Mann performs the listener to the intimacy of her own existence. In tracks as Invisible Ink, Real Bad News, Humpty Dumpty (on drug use) and the closing title track reveals her desolate and tormented soul. With Lost In Space is Aimee Mann there once again managed to deliver an equally strange as addictive album.

Lost in Space is an album by singer-songwriter Aimee Mann, released in 2002 on her own label, SuperEgo Records. Mann performed the songs "This Is How It Goes" and "Pavlov's Bell" during a guest appearance on the television show Buffy the Vampire Slayer, in the season seven episode "Sleeper". Today's the Day" is featured in the 2002 film Enough

Lost In Space Lyrics. Lost in space, above all drifting To a place where planets shifting The moon's erased, its features lifting the glare. But I am the stuff of happy endings Though mostly bluff, belief suspending But close enough for just pretending to care. And I'm pretending to care When I'm not even there Gone, but I don't know where.

It is, in a sense, a trick of the times that Lost in Space conveys such a vivid visual quality; thanks to the high profile given to her music on the Magnolia soundtrack, it's now impossible to miss the narrative strength of Mann's writing. The mood throughout this album is autumnal, with filmy keyboard beds and expressive shifts between major and minor enhancing the subdued eloquence of her lyrics.

Lost In Space" lyrics. Lost in space A bubble drifting Into a place Where planets shift and The moon's erased Its features lift in the glare. But I'm the stuff Of happy endings Though mostly bluff Belief suspending But close enough For just pretending to care.

Listen free to Aimee Mann – Lost in Space (Humpty Dumpty, High on Sunday 51 and more). Lost in Space is an album by singer-songwriter Aimee Mann, released in 2002 on her own label, SuperEgo Records. Discover more music, concerts, videos, and pictures with the largest catalogue online at Last.

Lost in Space is the first album Mann has made solely under her own guidance and for her own label. And as with all her work, the craftsmanship is impeccable- three- or four-minute pop songs with arching, lilting melodies, and arrangements where every detail is in place, from the succinct but grinding guitar solos, to the subtle keyboards and embellishments that back her up. And then there's the centerpiece: the rich tone of her subtly expressive vocals, a voice that's so even and melodic that the slightest crack speaks volumes
