Annabouboula is a Greek-American musical act based in New York City featuring vocalist Anna Paidoussi and producers George Sempepos and Christopher Lawrence. Annabouboula first released records and performed in the 1980s and 1990s. According to its creator, producer Christopher Lawrence, Annabouboula originally was an experiment in applied cultural anthropology

Audio CD, Import, March 12, 1991. This is a fantastic release! Traditional Greek rebetiko music meets dance/pop/world beat! I've never heard anything like it. Sonically, it's a great recording too. It sounds as if they took great care to master this one properly. Lots of dynamic range and energy.
