Selfdestruct (Single).

Selfdestruct reminds me of bands like Extize and DH 3rror. Label mates of Unterschicht have remixed the song adding their personal touch to the work. The remix sounds pretty cool as well. Conclusion: One song is not enough to speak about a successful return of The Raven, but Selfdestruct sounds cool so let’s now wait for more new songs to get an idea about the real potential of the band. Best songs: Selfdestruct – Original Version.

The Raven is the fourth studio album by English new wave band The Stranglers. It was released on 21 September 1979, through record label United Artists. The first two songs, much of the artwork (the band is shown standing on the prow of a Viking longship) and the album title refer to Norse mythology. The album deals with a variety of issues, including Japanese ritual suicide ("Ice"), heroin use ("(Don't Bring) Harry"), the Iranian Revolution ("Shah Shah a Go Go") and genetic engineering ("Genetix").

Self-Destruct (Japanese: じばく Self-Destruct), formatted as Selfdestruct prior to Pokémon X and Y, is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation I. It is TM36 in Generation I and TM42 in Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!. Selfdestruct inflicts damage, and causes the user to faint. Though its power is listed as 130, the target's Defense will be halved during damage calculation (unless it is at a value of 1), effectively doubling the power to 260.

By the time The Raven was released, the Stranglers had branched out a bit from their punk-influenced pop music stylings and grouchy p-based lyrics. Half the songs on this album (among them "Dead Loss Angeles," "Nuclear Device," "Shah Shah a Gogo," and "Genetix") spout verses critical of social or political issues. Only the first of these four numbers, with its clipped vocal delivery and stripped-down, bass-heavy arrangement, shows significant British punk influence.

After All - Selfdestruct Lyrics : Selfdestruct Can you hear the silence it's so far away all these noises drive me insane the clouds move faster than the day before spinning 'round and 'round impassioned for me When will you realize this body is s. .Album (Studio full-length). 8. Selfdestruct (2:57).
