Louie Bellson – Side Track. Label: Concord Jazz – CJ-141. Format: Vinyl, LP, Album. Country: US. Released: 1981. Written-By – Remo Palmier. A2a. Don't You Know I Care (Or Don't You Care To Know).
Drummer Louie Bellson plays a smaller role on this set than on his usual dates, only contributing one original ("I See You") and taking but a single (and brief) solo. However, his band - comprised of the great tenor Don Menza, trumpeter Sam Noto, pianist Frank Collett, bassist John Heard and Walfredo De Los Reyes on congas - is particularly strong, and the repertoire is well-rounded.
