This Coke campaign, Things Go Better With Coke, stretched from 1966 to 1969 and covered an entire generation of the coolest acts from pop to country, rock to soul. These Coca-Cola commercials have never been released before and are unique and different from each other. I found this Info on The BigOzine2. 1. Things Go Better With Coca-Cola.

In other words, these jingles aren't primarily designed to just fill time, and can actually work as a song on its own merits (again, overlooking the fact that each cut comes back to the "Things Go Better With Coke" tagline) In this age of pre-packaged, surveyed advertising campaigns and even pop & rock groups, this makes this disc a very interesting listen.

The Coca-Cola Commercials CD listed years, but the Things Go Better with Coke CD did not, so not all of the tracks have a year listed. For some tracks there are two versions of the same song, :60 and :90 second spots. Also, while I scanned the cover of Things Go Better with Coke to use here, the original cover is yellow. I wanted to mark this compilation as different so I opened it up in Photoshop and converted the yellow.

This particular style of Coca Cola ad campaign ran for two years from Dec 1963 to Dec 1965 (as best I can tell). Like the ads from earlier in 1963, these continued the trend of plain white background studio shots into early 1965. Apart from a couple at the end of the year, the white studio backgrounds faded out by mid 1965, making way for outdoor shots. There was also a selection of ads with food or just the bottle/glass.

Hart, Neil Diamond, the Supremes, and Marvin Gaye each singing and playing plugs for Coca-Cola. It may seem monotonous - most of the spots include the phrase "Things Go Better With Coke" - but the variations are fascinating, and it is a chance to hear these acts having what can only be considered fun with their respective sounds
